Neysha Mendoza is a graduate of Journalism and Drama from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She has been part of various associations and groups through her undergraduate experience. In her freshmen year, she participated in the Puerto Rican Association of Journalism Students, and as part of this group, she interned as a journalist in the weekly newspaper Claridad for almost a year.

As a result, some local newspapers, like El Nuevo Día; Metro and Diálogo Digital, published her work. Furthermore, in this group, she learned backstage theatre techniques and also obtained different roles in plays, such as “Bodas de Sangre” and “La casa de Bernarda Alba”.
As a part of her journalism courses, she published many articles at the request of professors. Also, she created her own digital art platform called Emergente, as a requirement for a multimedia course. Currently, she’s expecting to participate in her first leading role with the play The “Wise Women by Molière”.
As well, Mendoza attended New York University for a summer intensive course, and also interned as a journalist in the city for Z!NK Magazine.
